Walking Escapade

After walking the boys to school this morning, I was sent off to the market and bakery to pick up some groceries as the mom twisted her ankle pretty badly yesterday. Surprisingly, I wasn't even nervous knowing that I would most likely not be understood in English and I would not understand them in French. But I did it and I had a lot of fun! A lady behind me walked up and I noticed she said "I know" to her little boy in perfect English so I had an inkling of a thought that she was American. Her French was superb though. The grocer asked if she was American and she was! She asked if I needed any help when I told her I was American but I graciously declined. It was nice to talk to someone with full sentences:)

Then as I walked to the market, I took the wrong road and walked too far down the main road. Realizing that, I took off my coat (I was working up a sweat already) and back tracked finally dinding my way. My favorite place in Sevres is that little bakery. Goodness it smells amazing! And it sells my favorite things...bread😍

Then comes the fun part. The stairs. The hills. The getting lost. Then more hills. All before 9:30 in the morning! Great workout:) These photos do not do the hills and stairs any justice. You should see them in rel life! Ooh la la...

“Oh, London is a man's town, there's power in the air;
And Paris is a woman's town, with flowers in her hair;
And it's sweet to dream in Venice, and it's great to study Rome;
But when it comes to living, there is no place like home.”
