To be or Not to be??

Walking around Paris can look like one of two things:

"Oh, she's a total tourist. Get annoyed at everything she does and brush past them with rude, Parisian smirks."

or...

"Wow, look at that confident Parisian crossing streets like she owns the place and strides down the sidewalk like a man on a mission."

These are the thoughts of Parisian natives as they body-check you and judge you out of the corners of their eyes while wearing expensive knee-length coats, mink fur, and stilletos. Unfortunately, it's a dead give away for thought #1 if you have a map in your hand and/or a camera hanging around your neck. **Sigh** Since I'm going to be living here for some time, I have felt the need to banish all traces of "tourist" from myself and have opted to leave the camera in my backpack while I attempt to navigate my way through France thus far. Not my typical thought process!

So, basically, this post is to apologize for my iPhone quality photos! I have only been using my phone to snap pics so far since it is way easier to tote around and use in the flash of a second. I promise that I will be using my camera more often, though!! I miss my Nikon and who cares what those dang Parisians think.

“Oh, London is a man's town, there's power in the air;
And Paris is a woman's town, with flowers in her hair;
And it's sweet to dream in Venice, and it's great to study Rome;
But when it comes to living, there is no place like home.”
Henry van Dyke
