Lately, I've been super exhausted and realizing that I've gone from eating spinach daily at home and none here in France, it was probably my plummeting iron levels that were the cause. Well, in France, you cannot simply buy vitamins or supplements at a normal store but only from a pharmacy. There are pharmacies everywhere here. Not like a pharmacy attached to a Rite Aid or Safeway or anything, they are separate businesses marked with a green cross. (Coming from Seattle, my first day here consisted of wondering why there were so many marijuana stores in France!)
Well, I had never been into a pharmacie here so I pulled out google translate and bravely went in. Turns out, iron is called "fer" in French and so I typed into google that "I need to buy iron vitamins". The first two pharmacists didn't understand what I was saying apparently and I just resorted to typing it for them. Turns out they didn't have fer by itself. Neeeext. The next pharmacie was a little bigger and after explaining to the lady (reciting my google translate sentence) a few times, the lady understood and got me what I needed! Plus it was only 4 euros. Sweet!
When I paid her, I gave her a twenty euro note and she asked if I had .62 cents. I told her I didn't and then began searching through the coin pocket of my wallet. We just resorted to me holding out my wallet while she grabbed out the change I needed, one by one. We made a great team hahahaha
So now I'm feeling good and can keep up with these hooligans again. Good times!

“Oh, London is a man's town, there's power in the air;
And Paris is a woman's town, with flowers in her hair;
And it's sweet to dream in Venice, and it's great to study Rome;
But when it comes to living, there is no place like home.”
― Henry van Dyke
