Monday~Zabrina

In a nutshell:

I took Zabrina onto Metro line 9 straight to Trocadero where every person needs to experience the "turning-the-corner-and-seeing-the-tower-and-GASP" effect.

We walked down the steps right under the tower where I explained to her the scamming women who walk around in packs and ask if you speak English and get you to sign a paper and steal your money. From that moment on we have seen about a hundred of those annoying women.

Walking over to Bir-Hakeim, we ran into a cool little statue in hommage of the soccer tournaments going on and did the totally tourist thing and posed with it. As we crossed over the Seine on line 6, I told her to look over her shoulder to the right and BAM! Great view of the tower, herself.

After climbing the Arc de Triomphe, we walked the Champs-Elysees which fulfilled her every dream and we sat and ate at Paul's Cafe and people watched. It was a completely tourist day but it was a great jump into what Paris is all about.

I dropped her off at Hotel de Ville and over to Notre Dame where she hung around until FHE. While I was home working, she managed to make it home successfully after some concerning texts of not recognising anything!

“Oh, London is a man's town, there's power in the air;
And Paris is a woman's town, with flowers in her hair;
And it's sweet to dream in Venice, and it's great to study Rome;
But when it comes to living, there is no place like home.”
Henry van Dyke
