Sundays are the days I try and check museums off of my list in Paris. I usually hop on the train with Aubrey and we ride into Paris for the day.
This particular Sunday, we chose to see Musee Rodin. I just wanted to see The Thinking Man in real-life. He's famous!
When we were entering the building and getting our tickets checked, the man at the door saw my passport and began asking me where I was from and, like everyone else's response, "Ah it rains there a lot, right?" I just laugh and say "Yup." Well, this guy was hilarious and very chatty so he kept going and got super excited and began shooting air hoops and said "Seattle Sonics!" That was the last thing we expected to hear! Nobody knows the Sonics, let alone, any French person.
The funnest part of the museum was the telescope outside in front of the Gates of Hell and the Single Ladies statue. Aubrey and I were running around like little kids going back and forth staring in each end and trying to see if we could see the peach fuzz on each others face...turns out what Aubrey was actually seeing was little rain drops on the lens. I think Hannah disowned us by that point.
As we were leaving the museum, Mr. Chatty-pants struck up another conversation with us girls and was asking us about our French and what we are doing here and when he found out we are au pairs, the security lady next to him joined in and said that he needs a babysitter if we were interested! Oh man, hahaha.
When we happened upon some amazing lighting, we stopped on the bridge and had a little photoshoot together, because why not! Aubrey said, and I quote, "Hey will you take my picture? This bridge is really Parisian with naked babies and stuff. And they're always pictures of just me so can you get in it too so it looks like I actually have friends?" Aubrey- you're amazing. And I'm sending my children to you in the future. :)
Hannah went her separate way while Aubrey and I attempted to see the Grand Palais and Petit Palais but had no luck with either so we called it a night too. I love Sundays!!

“Oh, London is a man's town, there's power in the air;
And Paris is a woman's town, with flowers in her hair;
And it's sweet to dream in Venice, and it's great to study Rome;
But when it comes to living, there is no place like home.”
― Henry van Dyke
