It's Soeur Walton's last few days here in France.
I suddenly do not know how to transition from that thought into our spirit animal journey while Aubrey and I visited their missionary apartment illegally after a power-house day at church...
Well I think I just summed that up!
Back to the spirit animals- I found mine! Soeur Walton led Aubrey, Soeur Simpson, and I through the journey to find our spirit animals while I was sprawled out on their floor, meditating and breathing deeply. The journey goes like this:
-Relax. Imagine yourself in a place you feel comfortable and safe. A place you love.
-Now breath. In. Out. In. Out.
-A mist starts to come in. A thick fog quickly surrounds you and you can no longer see whats around you. The fog starts to swirl and the wind is howling in your ears.
-You reach out to grab your animal to hold on to. What are you feeling? Feathers? Scales? Fur? Paws?
-The fog begins to fade. You see your animal clearly. What is it?
-You have a moment to talk with you spirit animal. What are they saying to you?
-Now you have to leave. Say goodbye to your animal.
!!!!! When I was trying to find a place I loved where I felt safe and comfortable, my mind was racing. I could not find a place that my mind settled on! Just before the fog came in, my mind jumped to the top of the hike in Zion National Park where mom and I watched the sunset. It was warm and I was sitting on a big boulder right in the center, near the edge. It was beautiful! When I reached out to grab something, it was antlers that I leaned on for support. The fog cleared and it was a gazelle!
Okay, my spirit animal is perfect in so many ways. I like to run, it's an African animal, it's not too big or too small... I love my gazelle!
When Aubrey was talking about her journey, she said she was in her house and when she reached out, she grabbed her mom's arm! "My mom can't be my spirit animal!" Hahahaha we were dying!
Soeur Simpson has a spotted owl (so fitting!) and Soeur Walton has a gigantic polar bear that stands on his hind legs! These spirit animals are spot on. So we gave Aubrey her spirit animal and now she is a cat. Which is funny because think about Aubrey, now think about a cat, now think about Aubrey as the cat. Boom. It's meant to be.

I went home and told my 13 year old about this journey to find your spirit animal. We sat around the table eating dinner and watching YouTube videos on "spirit animal finding journeys" ! She tried it and saw a frog...twice! Hahaha she was so mad. She got a frog. Oh man I was dying. Then she made my 10 year old try it. He got a bunny. He is SO a bunny. We had a great night of Spirit Animal Journeys!
