I went swimming that morning and when I had gotten back, Alex was so excited to see the little baby monkey that was featured in the zoo's youtube video. So far, off to a good start!
As surprisingly as it is, going into Paris or taking the train or metro is a novelty for these kids. On the train, Alex was like, "Julia! Did you see the person down there? Did you see the cars? Look it's the Eiffel Tower! Julia! Look at all the houses!" It's amazing what these kids DON'T do when they are simply 20 minutes from one of the greatest cities in the world.
The zoo was only 9 euros a ticket and had wallaby, emus, porcupines, bright pink flamingos, orangutans, foxes, anteaters, parrots, gazelles, and a whole reptile house that had some extremely impressive snakes. No to mention the turtles that were the size of a small sofa. Huge!
During our little picnic under the shade of the trees, Hannah met up with us and went through the rest of the zoo with us. It was a beautiful day and Alex had a blast.
As soon as I dropped Alex back off at home and the family left, I went back out to the gardens and met up with Hannah where we had a spring-time photo shoot. The cherry blossoms were EXPLODING out of the trees and the flowers were so bright and beautiful, it was hard not to feel like the luckiest person in the world living in Paris.
There was a couple in the park having a photo shoot while dressed in an exquisite ball gown and her fiance (we later found out) was in a matching suit. Not to be racist or anything, but yes, they were Asian, duh. Hannah made a joke about being able to find them on Instagram that night in front of the popular exploding-pink-cherry-blossom tree. Let me attach some evidence...
I went on to stalk them and found that this was their seemingly hundredth #prewedding photo shoot. In France. In a week. They had #prewedding shoots 1, 2, and 3.
AND a #preEngagement shoot. Who are these people!? Just take a look for yourself. Oh la vache.
But anyways, aside from stalking these people, it was a beautiful night and a great start to a week of vacation.
BEHOLD
