Weekly Post

A rough week/uninteresting for the most part so here is my post in pictures! (Read the post before this; it was fun to write)

 They eat soft boiled eggs here. *gag*

 I decoupaged a "J" for my door! That means keep out, children! Hahaha just kidding.

 One morning, the dad drove me and the kids to school since it was raining pretty hard. Well, during the drive to school, not a single rain drop fell. But as I walked back home uphill, it literally flooded. I was drenched from head to toe and had puddles in my shoes. Thank you, Mother Nature.

 Yet another blister that rubbed itself raw. I swear, my feet are prone to these. What the heck.

 I love love love french school. Here from 4 days of class we had already accumulated a stack of about 30 worksheets. Not shy on the paper!
 The sky is just a beautiful thing.

Found Alex one day after lunch properly assuming the role of "trampled-by-a-bear". Now if only he stayed that way for another hour....

 Instead of regular baking soda and baking powder like we use in the States, they have this leavening/baking powder/sprinkle magic stuff that makes things rise like crazy!

 A guy on the metro reading a newspaper....IN ENGLISH!!! Made me happy.
 Had lunch and miniature donuts by a canal in Paris with Hannah, the donut-picture master :)

 Then we went to Montmartre for like 10 minutes because I wanted to witness the Grape Festival before I left for Brusselles. The festival wasn't really set up quite yet but I did see huge wheels of cheese!! Then I raced home via multiple metros and my own two feet just to pick up the kids from school with not a second to spare. Perfect. Timing.
 A cute flower that was the exact shade of my pants was a special find at the park.

And lastly, when I print these posts out into the form of a book, I want to remember my mom and her very protective instincts. I really appreciate her constant reminders of safety! Although, I have no plans set up for Bangladesh in the near future...but thank mom!

“Oh, London is a man's town, there's power in the air;
And Paris is a woman's town, with flowers in her hair;
And it's sweet to dream in Venice, and it's great to study Rome;
But when it comes to living, there is no place like home.”
Henry van Dyke
